A guide to the grand casino towns, written for grown-ups

Hotelguide by HotelsAgain is the casino edition of the HotelsAgain family of travel guides. It focuses on one very particular kind of trip: a stay at a historic grand hotel in a European spa or seaside town, with an evening, or several, in the casino down the road.

We chose five pairings that still capture that tradition: Brenners and the Kurhaus in Baden-Baden, Le Normandy and the casino in Deauville, the Palácio and Casino Estoril, Le Majestic and the Palais casino in Cannes, and the Schlosshotel and Casino Velden on the Wörthersee. Each is reviewed in depth, and each casino gets its own scored review covering history, salons, games, limits, dress codes and entry rules.

What we do not do

We do not sell hotel rooms, take bets, run promotions, publish bonus codes or link to casino operators. We earn no commission from any property. We never suggest that gambling is a way to make money, and we do not publish betting systems.

Who we write for

Adults who enjoy grand hotels and are curious about casino culture, or who already play for fun and want accurate information on rules, house edges and the practicalities of entry. If you are under 18 (or under 21 in the case of Baden-Baden), this guide is not for you.
